I know most of you guys are really into black metal so I gotta ask, what do you guys make of this? Personally, I'm really impressed by it, but I also haven't really sat down and made the time of day for a new black metal release in a couple of years. It kind of reminds me of Sargeist and WITTR but those are also the two black metal bands I've listened to most recently so who knows.

Defeated Sanity - Passages into Deformity (This is surprisingly good, still slammy and occasionally a little too "tech" for my taste but they keep it up tempo and blasty for the most part)
Cianide - Death, Doom, and Destruction
Zombie Ritual - Night of the Zombie Party
Lord Gore - The Autophageous Orgy
Oniricous - Ritos Diabolicos (Razorback put this out this year and it's actually pretty good... the vast majority of what they're releasing anymore still sucks though.)
30XX - split with Metastatis / split with Parazitozis / Desolate Future / Gore Future
SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

Midnight - Complete and Total Hell

I'm in a coffee shop in Dunwoody using my laptop and a pair of fucking headphones that are fucking shorting out every other riff.

Still sounds good.

I think i like AGNG better but i like that they made a conscious effort not to make the same album twice. Necrocracy seems to be much groovier but still in a totally legit way. A nice follow up for sure!

Urgehal - Massive Terrestrial Strike

Urgehal makes me laugh with their random fade-outs. Every once in a while they have a song where they went "fuck it, we'll end it here -- just turn the volume down. Done."

I like this a lot. Never would have guessed this noise is coming out of Brooklyn! I will have my technical advisor download this and put it into my shuffle where it will be very comfortable.

Thanks for posting this because I am terrible at keeping up with blogs that don't have "cheezburger" in the title. I am hopeless.

Urgehal is an absolute favorite of mine, but that always bugged the hell out of me about them. Fade outs during vocal parts only draw comparisons to The Partridge Family, The Monkees, and Hee Haw in my mind.
