The Falcons were pretty impressive yesterday. Obviously Michael Turner won't rush for 200+ every game, but I think we can win six or seven. They showed some confidence during the game, and there was also some offensive flow, which is a feeling I never got during the Vick era. I guess we'll see what ...

My point is that Metallica became the one of the biggest bands in the world when they "sold out". When Megadeth tried to go more commercial, it didn't catch on and they lost a lot of credibility, proving that they were better off sticking to their guns.

and another thing......... everyone hates on metallica and says that they are the biggest sell-outs in metal history BUT is that really true? is that just based on the fact that they were successful? a lot of the older bands put out at least one "what they hell?" album. does anyone remember Kreator...

Someone made a great point by noting that they really started following what was marketable in music at the time. It'll be interesting to see the direction in which this record goes, because both of the genres you mentioned have come and gone for sure. I do my best to seperate Metallica into two ban...

Um...isn't that what a drummer is supposed to do? Theres nothing wrong with keeping it simple.
Well in my opinion, the point of both bass and drums in heavy music is to fill every hole that the guitars and vocal melodies might leave.

Most of this is a by-product of it being run by an incompetent woman who does nothing but drink whiskey in the back of the store all day. When I took lessons from Howie there, it was a regular thing to be overpowered by drum noise coming from the upstairs. Not surprisingly it was her kid having a dr...

Hahah! He can't be as boring as the drummer for the Rolling Stones. But yeah, my night consisted of me recording some guitar tracks in my underwear, eating leftover Chinese food and watching TV. AC/DC's drummer and that Dave Holland guy from Judas Priest are also pretty bad, as in they're allergic ...

If you only buy music from WalMart or Target, then yes, those are probably the top 25 metal bands of all time.

Though I agree with whoever said Boston should have been included.

I've yet to see him make that post during any debate that didn't absolutely warrant it.

Pretty cool guitar work and you can actually hear the bass which is a good thing, solid drumming, but the singer is horrible IMO. The song I listened to sounds more influenced by Iced Earth and Metallica than Helstar and Maiden but it's not bad at all. I'm guessing you listened to "The Prophet", in...
