Welp, kinda just contradicted myself from the other thread. Tough choice here between Halford and Dio. Stained Class is my favorite heavy metal album of all time and Priest my favorite band... but I'm not sure whether I'd say Halford is a better vocalist than Dio. I suppose it comes down to what you consider "best."

For me it's all about their voice in their prime. Sure, Halford can't hang with what he used to be able to do but I don't knock him, or any singer, for not being able to perform on the level they did in their youth.

Not a fan of what I've heard of King Parrot but Vattnet Viskar is pretty rad thrashy black metal type stuff. Would def try and catch them if I was going to be down there.

metal culture is diametrically opposed to having money/sex/social life/accomplishments/people taking you seriously, etc. All of those things > "having good taste" in an genre 98% of the population gives zero shits about. Metal doesn't suck, but metal culture sucks and it will hold you back in life....
