"Butcher" from The Speed of Smoke will appear this fall in a Ramin Bahrani film titled "At Any Price", starring Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid. Bizarre but true.

I'll be there on opening night, geeking out pretty heavily.

i still can't believe it. and lord knows i ain't gonna shell out money to watch an efron flick. but if it ever comes out on netflix or tv, ill fast forward to the scene y'all will be featured in to see if it's really a real thing.
what are you going to do with all the royalty monies? will you remember us when you're guest singing/playing guitar on maroon 5 tracks? this will open a lot of doors in hollywood, y'know.

They paid us a flat fee for the license, which wasn't much. If there is a soundtrack, we would get royalties, but I'm not sure who buys songs from soundtracks or what the demand is. Definitely not making us rich. Kinda lucked into it anyway.
We'll see...the exposure is what we're most glad to have. Lotta angry teens could identify with it!
