Local metal forums
Is anyone aware of other forums like this in other cities?
There is obviously no end to metal forums, but I wonder if there are others tied to a particular local scene. Or is this place unique?

I know Florida has this forum for all their shows/discussion: http://www.flmetal.com/forum/index.php

Re: Local metal forums
The Chicago Metal Factory forum qualifies. I think a metal only forum for a single metro area is a bit of a rarity though. I usually do a quick search of metal forum with the name of a city I'm traveling to and very rarely come up with anything helpful. I use NOLAdiy.org for events in the Big Sleazy when I visit my folks in Mississippi, but even that's not exclusively for metal. Got to be some more out there. I think we're pretty fortunate though.Knucklehead wrote:Is anyone aware of other forums like this in other cities?

It looks like a spam bomb went off in there.MS_39455 wrote:The Chicago Metal Factory forum qualifies.
That's exactly what motivated this thread.MS_39455 wrote:I usually do a quick search of metal forum with the name of a city I'm traveling to and very rarely come up with anything helpful.

Re: Local metal forums
I've used metaltravelguide.com with limited success in the past. For instance, Atlanta's only two listings are Masquerade and the Deathgasm store (which has been closed for probably 5 years now). It's a really good resource if you're traveling to Europe though. The info was up to date and spot-on for my stupor across the Balkans last year. Lists lots of metal bars, venues, and record stores.Knucklehead wrote:That's exactly what motivated this thread.MS_39455 wrote:I usually do a quick search of metal forum with the name of a city I'm traveling to and very rarely come up with anything helpful.

This is a pretty badass page for show listings in England. No, it's not a forum like this one, but it's an invaluable resource if you are travelling over there. http://www.metalgigs.co.uk/event/index
