Great Online music sites!
I figured I would start this thread for anyone to throw out some good metal or music websites for information that might interest someone. Here are a few of my favorites:
http://www.deathmetal.org/ - Great site about all things deathmetal
http://www.metal-archives.com/ - Can pretty much find any metal band here!

Metal-archives (Encyclopedia Metallum) is realllly handy.
For quick track, artist and album info, I still like www.cddb.com and use it alot. (So do CDex and iTunes, I think, but I use it manually. )
How 'bout for online CD ordering?
I use several sites:
The End Records Omega Mail-order <-- free shipping!
Century Media Distro -- usually low prices, also has Nuclear Blast site linked
DeepDiscount.com <-- free shipping!
The Laser's Edge (for proggier stuff)
I used to use a few others, like Dark Symphonies, but I'm not sure if they're still around.
If all else fails I'll use Amazon.com, which is also a good way to check for a CD's existence.

for lyrics I use www.darklyrics.com
some other forums I go to besides this one are: www.metalstorm.ee and www.smnnews.com
metalstorm is cool...there's alot of info there and some great discussions.
SMN is good for MDF updates and laughs. You'll see why I say that if you go look in their forums.

They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???
I have had great luck with the following sites for orders:
http://www.redstream.org/ - Great for a lot of metal and various other stuff!
http://www.blackmetal.com/cgi-bin/gold/ ... gory=index - All things black metal and others too! Fairly cheap too and quick w/ free shipping for a certain amount bought.
http://www.aquariusrecords.org/ - Lots of doom and stoner along with black metal. Some off the wall and rare stuff! A bit pricey but good.

Cool, always good to hear about more online places to order. And "minimum orders for free shipping" don't usually faze me; if I'm buying online, chances are I'm spending more than $25 on the order.
After a long night at WREKage, I find that I've got the following tabs open on the browser:
-- WREKage playlist/realtime song-entering page
-- WREKage.org main site page (for the search feature)
-- Darklyrics.com
-- Gracenote (www.cddb.com)
-- Metal-Archives.com
-- whatever the Stonehenge guys left over from their show
Same here, although the pop-up windows can get annoying. Metal-archives also has lyrics for a fair number of songs, but Darklyrics is still my primary site for checking 'em.Metalfreak wrote:for lyrics I use www.darklyrics.com.

Not a fan of Aquarius. Their selection at the retail store was a lot more drone than metal, their catalog is disorganized and they dont have a lot of things that they list, and i definitely saw the frogskin/taunt EP for $14 dollars. jose inxdisgust has it in the UTR distro for like 5. better bay area stores are Thrillhouse and 1234Go. Shaxul is cool too but also pricey.V-GER wrote:I have had great luck with the following sites for orders:
