does the ps warehouse sell booze? Look whos not being supportive of the local scene now. One that is over run with clubs that don't serve alcohol. Excuse me for booking one of the best doom bands in the world in Atlanta area at the only club around that would. Your all talking out your ass. If you were there to see Woods Of Ypres, you woulda been happy. You weren't there to see us or Deathloch obviously. Only leaves one other band.TakeAsNeededForPain24 wrote:yeah. the venue was some bullshit teen club that didnt even sell beer. its was fuckin lame.

That's where your analogy falls apart chief -- Wells Street isn't a club. Like the name suggests, it is a warehouse. Literally. A warehouse.Kol wrote:does the ps warehouse sell booze? damn!! what's your point. They book fuckin bands and don't serve fuckin alcohol. Do you know how many alcohol serving clubs in the ATL are in warehouses in industrial parks? The I9 sux thing is done, we get it , you don't like us, and we don't care. What is getting on my nerves is the bitching about the scene and how I don't support it, when I booked Woods Of Ypres from Ontario Canada, and called all the venues with little response and the one that bit was the One Eighty. I got us and 2 other local bands, one that you guys are obviously friendly with Atruce Mortem. Otherwise, you probably wouldn't have come to the show. That is supporting the local scene. All you guys can do is bitch because they didn't serve alcohol. Fuck, it was on a monday. Do you need to get shitfaced every day? Point is slick, I support and will continue to support local metal bands. All of them no matter what subgenre, nu metal, death, black, doom, goth, whatever. Although there is now a few local metal bands that I just can't support.Knucklehead wrote:That's where your analogy falls apart chief -- Wells Street isn't a club. well did you get in touch with the Warehouse? They probably would have booked that show. and really, there's only one person who's mentioned anything about alcohol. I fail to see how that represents all of us.Kol wrote:damn!! what's your point. They book fuckin bands and don't serve fuckin alcohol. I get that you feel the need to defend every single little point that comes across, but using sweeping generalizations about the entire Atlanta metal scene based on one person's comment isn't the way to do it. stick to youtube.
this is the scene's one internet presence? hahaha!Brian wrote:and also, how do you even support the scene? I've never seen you at shows. I9 hasn't been involved with anything relevant to the scene. the only thing you do on the scene's one internet presence is whine about how people don't like your band.
this isn't the scene's one internet presence. Have you ever heard of the G.M.A. ? and that's just one of them. I also don't care if the few skinny white boys on this have a problem with me or the music I write. I have fans in Atlanta and different points throughout the world. I wonder why you never post your opinions on I9 on our youtube videos? Just on this forum where you know your buddies will back you up. No I don't and am not gonna be at every show you are. Please , if you see me at a show, come up and introduce yourself.
Sorry for any generalizations, it just seems that you all think with one brain.

You've apparently convinced yourself that the Atlanta scene consists of the three or four bands that suck each other's dicks here on this forum. Kol just told you that he got a paying gig for two local bands opening for an international act that's never played here before and you shat all over it. It just goes to show that trying to please you people is completely pointless as the only thing in your mind that qualifies as supporting the local scene is coming out to the shows of a few select deathcore bands at the PS warehouse.Brian wrote:and also, how do you even support the scene? Bottom line, your prissy little problems are with Incarceri 9 and no matter what they do you'll still shit on them. Grow up and grow a pair. Please.
I'm at just about every show that comes through this town.Kol wrote:this is the scene's one internet presence? hahaha!Brian wrote:and also, how do you even support the scene? I don't comment on I9 youtube videos because I don't watch them. Also, I don't even have a youtube account.

Oh yeah- LOL because you're just so cool and with it that nothing gets to you. You're so cool that you hide behind your computer and dismiss anything that cuts to the heart of your argument. Gosh- why can't every body be a cool badass like you that just brushes these things off?Brian wrote:LOL.shredmonkey wrote:You've apparently convinced yourself that the Atlanta scene consists of the three or four bands that suck each other's dicks here on this forum. come on Brian. That's impossible to be @ every show that comes through ATL. I don't even make enough money for that. What with the expense of all the children I have. I know, I shouldn't be playing music anymore after I reach 30 right? I'm like a thousand years old. Play by your own rules, don't inflict them on me.Brian wrote:I'm at just about every show that comes through this town.Kol wrote:this is the scene's one internet presence? hahaha!Brian wrote:and also, how do you even support the scene? Ok you don't have a youtube account. I didn't have an account here before I got one. You are afraid to leave your turf, I get it. If you ever decide to, I promise it's painless. I also know that you and lots like you don't watch our videos, or listen to our music. Makes you real qualified to critique them.
This is really just to easy.

1) This thread came as an offshoot of a thread that I started trying to get a listing of all active bands in this town. The original post listed about 30-40 bands whose music I do enjoy who all play locally. While I do go to a school that is known for people being great at math, it's really not my strong point. I do have a basic enough grasp of it though to know that 30 bands is more than 3 or 4.
2) I didn't "shit all over it." I like Woods of Ypres. If the show weren't in Stockbridge, I probably would have gone.
3) You obviously don't know anything about the bands who play at the warehouse, and by default, the bands in the Atlanta scene. So that's really irrelevant for me to respond to. For what it's worth (and you obviously don't read this forum much, so I can't fault you for that), if you head over to the concerts subforum, there will be many, many threads started by various members of the Atlanta scene promoting shows at places that are...wait for it...not the warehouse. Or involving their bands.
4) If Incarceri 9 makes good music, I won't shit on them. I'll listen! But you're asking to be made fun of when you make a 9 minute long youtube rant about LOVE HATE INDIFFERENCE PAT.
I get free tickets from hosting WREKage. Free doesn't hurt my bank account. I'm a college student and I have student loan money to blow. It rules.Kol wrote:come on Brian. What's the point of commenting on every band I find? It's a waste of time. Let alone focusing my efforts on the rock superstars Incarceri 9.
I've listened to your music. That's how I know I don't like it. I don't have a huge problem with your music...normally I would just ignore it and move on. But when you choose to get butthurt over the most inane of comments, I lose a lot of respect for you and what you're trying to do for this "scene" that you're apparently a part of.
