Read recently that yet another one was taken out with due process.
The al-Awlaki story has always bothered me, and every time I see it mentioned I wonder what exactly I could do about this. I'd really rather the government not have the power to kill US-born citizens who aren't even legally adults with no trial and not even a justification. It was bad enough when we only did that to people who weren't US citizens, or banished people from here and abroad to Cuba. Now it's four or five years into B. A. Barackus and Gitmo's still open and the Patriot Act's been renewed and now they can just shoot you in the head if they feel like it, and who do they have to answer to?
It's pretty shit.
