I was listening to Pantera today and realized that cussing is a large part of the aggressiveness of the songs. There are alot of bands that don't have any cussing in their entire discography, so what is your preference, cussing or no cussing? What floats your boat?

A well placed "fuck" can really drive home the intensity or brutality of a song (perfect example - the FUUUUUUUUUCK screamed near the end of the Dying Fetus song "Procreate the Malformed"), but if they're overused then it just turns a song into a joke.

Unless the point is to be comical through countless profanities (Crotchduster, Anal Cunt, etc.). Then it's cool.

"The motherfucking record is so motherfucking whack, the motherfucking crackerjack need to step the fuck back." -- a little gratuitous. But I guess we were talking about metal. I don't know, Devin Townsend says "fuck" in like every song, but he's still one of my favorite musicians. Of course, it sounds cool when HE does it.

Sargeist's "Black Fucking Murder" is such a great song.
