I signed up on this board a month or two ago and I've been reading it a bit. Looks like an active bunch here. I thought I'd pop my head in and introduce myself. I live in Alabama outside of Rome. I recently moved here from Chicago and haven't had time yet to check out the scene in ATL or elsewhere. Now I think I'll be coming down to see some shows. I thought this board will help me pick out the best shows to see. I've already picked up quite a lot of "friends" amongst some of you bands here on myspace, so I'm following your gig dates. I'll probably have a camera if I go to your show, and I'll be picking out good pics to put up on my site, so be prepared to "pretty" yourselves up heheh. It's an old hobby I'm reviving. I used to take pics of the bands that played at Charlie Magruders and Danny's when I lived in Atlanta before (back in the 80s). Anyone here old enough to remember those joints? (I always wondered what happened to Dannys - it just seemed to disappear.) I still have some of those pics... I was thinking maybe I'd scan 'em in one of these days just for shits and giggles.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hi.

Yeah, I'm going to try to be there, but I don't get off work til 5:30 so I might not get there til about 7:30 or so. Looks like a good show all right.

Charlie Magruders...I moved here after that place closed...then it became a Lone Star Steakhouse...my mom was a waitress there for some years
