i like most all of danny elfmans stuff. he does all the tim burton movies and i think that he is usually on top of things. i wasn't all that impressed with the music from the corpse bride but thats the only time he has let me down.

batman, the nightmare before christmas, edward scissorhands.

and i also like goblin's work on dario argento's adaptation of dawn of the dead. the music for 28 days later is really good too.

Suspiria (anything by goblins, really), Phantasm, and the original Psycho are my favorites.

One of my favorites is the Gladiator soundtrack, it has a lot of ethreal vocals and ambient sounding middle eastern music. Its really cool.

Gladiator was an all-around awesome film. The score was phenomenal as well.

I really liked the music in the Shawshank Redemption... but then, that whole movie is awesome. Platoon's score was really good too.
I'm with Porkish on the Suspiria, and all of Dario Argento's films. I think Pete Townsend did something on one of them.
