How about Renato Sobral getting KTFO by Jason Lambert?BlazeTSU wrote:are you serious????holly wrote:That fight was boring as shit (I'm not a fan of fights being practically ALL on the ground) and Tim Sylvia is a fucking turd.

LOLZ.
that fight was exciting as hell! one of the best fights i've seen in years and years. and they stood up a lot. the entire 3rd round was on their feet and and all the ground'n'pound was setup by randy beating the piss out of tim on his feet.
i loved the fight. everyone at the bar i was at were going nuts, the crowd was going nuts and its all the buzz in the MMA media.
and randy beats everyones ass.....he did the same thing to chuck, tito, pedro rizzo, vitor belfort. he is by far my favorite fighter. every fight he is in is exciting......save the last two chuck fights. the first rematch was shaping up to be a war until the famous chuck eyepoke(i'm no hating on chuck, i like him, but he does have an uncanny knack for landing that damn right EYEPOKE!)
anyway, i thought all the fights were good. the UFC needs more events like this that are exciting throughout and not just lopsided first round KO's.

It's not the same when you have to watch it two days later on youtube.

i thought lambert would pull it out. babalu is a good fighter but he seems to be a dumbass. he never has a good gameplan and a lot of his wins have come from other peoples mistakes rather than him actually taking the victory. lambert is a much smarter fighter and is pretty well rounded. i was a lot more surprised that rashad kicked lamberts ass a few months ago than i was that lambert beat babalu.Death2all wrote:How about Renato Sobral getting KTFO by Jason Lambert?BlazeTSU wrote:are you serious????holly wrote:That fight was boring as shit (I'm not a fan of fights being practically ALL on the ground) and Tim Sylvia is a fucking turd.

i think that rampage has a huge chance of beating chuck. i think he has the perfect style to do so............but i think that rampage would lose to a lot of guys that chuck would destroy. i just see rampage as always being a really tough fight for chuck.egg yolkeo wrote:Unfortunatly Chuck has pnemonia right now but if he can get back to where he was in his last few fights Rampage is going to get owned bad.
rampage's hand are always up, he never chases people blindly, he doesn't shoot for his takedowns but rather clinches and throws and he doesn't lead with his chin. rampage's fighting style is basically an exact copy of chuck/randy I. it almost seems like he watched that fight and tailored his style perfectly after randy.
i'd love to see the fight though. but i'd rather see it more around years end than in may. i think chuck should rest and get back to full strength and rampage should get another fight or two before the rematch.
and yes, i'm a nerd and i know it.
yeah man, we should get together. i've got some gear as well as some BJJ and muay thai trainning under my belt. and i don't think we are too far away from each other.MikeLindgren wrote:I used to do BJJ with John from Neuronomicon. It was great fun 'til I tore my rib connector. Now that I'm done with playing music, I'm seriously consideirng getting back in the fray. Anyone want to do some MMA?
i've been looking for folks to train with. everyone i had lined up either flaked out or were too far away(ex. egg yolkeo being in henry county). i've been training at my house with videos for the last three months. i could use an actual training partner.

He did more than just watch it,they used to train together and it was only 5 months after randy had beat Chuck the exact same way.The difference now is that Chuck has changed his style to beat him by circling and not backing up straight like he did in those fights that way he's not getting hit by those stiff jabs and counters first that throw off his punches.BlazeTSU wrote:i think that rampage has a huge chance of beating chuck. i think he has the perfect style to do so............but i think that rampage would lose to a lot of guys that chuck would destroy. i just see rampage as always being a really tough fight for chuck.egg yolkeo wrote:Unfortunatly Chuck has pnemonia right now but if he can get back to where he was in his last few fights Rampage is going to get owned bad.

He's also got alot more power now with better timing so Page won't be walking thru those punches this time because they will be getting thru and landing on the mark. And he wont be able to get close enough for a clinch without eating some serious fight changing shots either.
Tito had his hands up in their last fight and look what happened,32 stiches over his left eye and got caught by that left hook on the temple that knocked off his equalibrium and sent him to the ground.
Chuck is made to beat guys like Quinton and Randy now because he has adjusted and has an answer for what they do,Not to mention precise KO power.
A 100% healthy Liddell will catch Rampage and win that rematch and I think Jackson knows it.

first off, there is no such thing as a "100% healthy" fighter. its an impossible feat.egg yolkeo wrote: He did more than just watch it,they used to train together and it was only 5 months after randy had beat Chuck the exact same way.The difference now is that Chuck has changed his style to beat him by circling and not backing up straight like he did in those fights that way he's not getting hit by those stiff jabs and counters first that throw off his punches.

By 100% healthy I just mean that if he's recovered from the pnemonia and able to get back on track because I think Liddell has improved alot since then like he's fine tuned his style and become a better overall fighter thats in better shape. Not to sure Jackson has really improved since then or if he even has what it takes anymore but ya we'll just have to see where their both at if and whenever they fight.
It should be a good one, can't wait

i think that he'll be fine. john hackleman, chucks trainer, said that he would start back training this past monday.
and rampage was floating for so long without a stable camp to train with its hard to know exactly where he is by judging off of his past 4 fights or so. now that he has some stability in that dept. i'm sure we'll see him back to form.
either way the fight goes, i hope it lasts for at least 3 full rounds. i'd like to see a battle.
