If you are referring to what I think you are, it is not. But what about Jews For Jesus Metal?
I was just making fun of the guy that wrote the blog.
Honestly I find it kind of trivial to say the least, and some what laughable.
This subject reminds me of the south park episode where cartman made the Christian boy band.
What's not trivial is a bunch of weak-ass sheep co-opting music that used to be about resistance.
weak-ass sheep co-opting music that used to be about resistance is much farther reaching than christian punk or metal. the radio is full of so called "punk" and "metal" that is co-opting the titles for anything but resistance or Christ. punk and metal's problem have nothing to do with religion and have everything to do with trends in popular culture. if you can't see that then you are blind my friend.
and if your blogwriter buddy is going to base his opinions on "christian punk" by seeing underoath then he is fairly ignorant himself. at least base you damn opinions and hear the words of actual punk or metal bands.
bands like
LIVING SACRIFICE(metal)
HEADNOISE(punk)
WORLD AGAINST WORLD(crust)
LIGHTS FOR NERO(crust-grind-spazz)
EDIFY(powerviolence)
TANTRUM OF THE MUSE(experimental)
WARLORD(crust)
NINETY POUND WUSS(punk)
BLASTER THE ROCKETMAN(punk)
EXTOL(metal)
CHILDREN OF THE ELEVENTH HOUR(powerviolence)
ALETHEIAN(metal)
these bands are all valid members of the scenes they are/were involved in. to deny that is weak and ignorant.

Hell, even old Underoath was decent...it's kind of like black metalcore if that makes any sense.

I really dig the first couple of Living Sacrifice albums. I can't deny their musical abilities. But as far as the music industry goes, you're preaching to the choir. haha.

True Satanism has nothing to do with sacrificing babies on altars.
most bands couldent give two shits about lavey and his modern boring gay form of satanism though.
1. The modern boring version is the only one to have ever existed. The other version is myth.
2. There are plenty of bands or individual musicians that are into Lavey. Ihsahn from Emperor comes to mind.
There's nothing wrong with writing about rape, pillaging, and intestinal evisceration. In fact, I think it's awesome. But to claim a religion is/was based on that is idiotic.
Also, isn't Prostitute Disfigurement close to the best band name ever?
Yea,I know ihsahn Was a satanist. But acually, the first form of satanism started the same time as christianity. they would still cast down members of the church for suspected devil worship, originally it was used as to have a "horror movie" effect. The modern shitty form of it started in the 1960's

I personally think people should just keep their religions to themselves, its cool to talk about relgion, I love to do it, but in general people should just keep it to themselves.
edit: everyone has their own opinion and thats cool, Blaze is Christian and proud of it, thats awesome, and hes not a dick about it. Im not a Christian and we still get along, we both like the same kind of music and thats cool, so it shouldnt really matter.
