UNITED ABOMINATIONS!

Post by BlazeTSU » Mon May 21st, 2007, 9:18 pm

wow, the new megadeth is actually badass! i took a listen to it this morning not expecting much and i was blown away. its awesome hearing a familiar voice putting out new material that stands up to their glory days......and it does stand up nicely to the megadeth catalog. its not the best megadeth ever but its perfect for right now. its got the songwriting of countdown to extinction with the piss and vinegar of rust in piece or peace sells.

now its metallica's turn.............yeah right(i can hope)

Wow, really?
After hearing the awful Tout Le Monde remix/whatever I had no hope.

yeah, thats the worst song on the album. it wouldn't be a megadeth album if he wasn't rehashing some old metallica or past megadeth song though. i personally just think that he wanted to get close to Cristina Scabbia.....i can't blame him for that.

check out http://www.myspace.com/megadeth and listen to some of the songs.......i'm interested to hear what some of you think about it.

I stand corrected. I listened to the songs on myspace and they are pretty awesome.
Megadeth never fell as far as Metallica has anyway.

Tout le Monde was terrible, I couldnt finish it. But the other songs I liked a lot. Definitely the best thing in a very long time.

Yeah I finally listened to the whole album and it's easily the best since Countdown to Extinction.

Also, who has heard any of the remastered versions of the old albums? Are they worth it?

i agree with neal, the remaster of rust in peace sucks ass especially with the redone vocals by dave shitstain, but i havent heard the newest effort yet, but if it is on par with countdown to extinction id be suprised, the first 5 megadeth cds slay hard
