I'm gonna see these guys twice with Music Hates You in Memphis and Little Rock this weekend. The myspace tunes sound promising so far.

2 shots of jager for 12.50 so fuck that place. they gave us free pbr though so i guess i shouldn't complain too much. we had a good time there but opening for rwake in little rock and then partying at the venue after hours was even more fun. and rwake's drummer had a thrash band side project that practiced/played.
the unbeheld were excellent, especially for being so young. hopefully they'll be making it down to athens/atlanta in the future.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

here are a few obscure bands from my playlist that I like a lot;
Lykathea Aflame (very unique DM, I recommend highly)
Augury (ditto)
Limbonic Art
Windir
Mithotyn (some of you guys may know of them but hardly anybody I talk to ever has)
Sothis (los angeles BM)
Krohm
Vulvectomy
Gortuary
Carnal Decay
Fragments of Unbecoming
Alarum
Epoch of Unlight
Garden of Shadows (Dying Fetus bassist's old band)
Avernus (excellent doom!)
Ruins
Vintersorg (current singer of Borknagar)
Am I Blood (thrash-sound like what Metallica should)
Thor (just... wow....

I've found this site to be most helpful in discovering new and obscure stuff lately;
