Anvil is a Canadian metal band. Metal on Metal is probably their most famous album and, released in 1982, allegedly inspired Metallica and Megadeth. I bought their album The Strength Of Steel back in the day. I'm sure Bob knows what I'm talking about.
Anyway, like Exciter, these guys never really made it. This film is a documentary about that. Supposedly, it is reminiscent of "This Is Spinal Tap." Except that this is real.
Blabbermouth story.
Movie website.
Anvil MySpace.

That made me want to see it. Their album titles are just so sad, going from 80s "words that have to do with metal" to 2000s "don't count us out cause we're old, but we are out of ideas".
