Absu

Post by Brian » Sun June 14th, 2009, 10:14 am

Alright so I'm doing an interview with Absu at their upcoming show, but I don't know too much about the band's history, etc. Normally I just look up stuff about the band, but I've been told there are a few big Absu fans here, so I figured I'd throw this out there. Anybody have any questions they want me to ask the band? I think I'll be interviewing Proscriptor but I'm not sure.

Ask him if he's really the drummer for Deathspell Omega

I'm curious to hear about their reaction to the tour. I have to admit that I learned of Absu years ago from the Gummo soundtrack. Even after learning who they were, I can think of maybe one or two times that they've toured in the US (once with Enslaved I think). When I saw them at the Death Fest this year, I was pleased to see how many people knew who they were and seemed to have followed them closely for some time despite Absu having been in sort of an on-hold status for so long.

I guess I've gone the long way 'round trying to say that I'd like to hear some of their thoughts (particularly Proscriptor's) of how they've been received so far on this current tour.
