Pretty obvious to me. But what do I know?

"Glenn Danzig is not Canadian. Rewrite this."
"Mr. Danzig, we know you're not Canadian. But the character is."
"Glenn Danzig is from New Jersey. This is horseshit. Rewrite it. And add more shirtless scenes."
"Yes sir, I'll tell them."
Ha ha ha! There's a cartoon triptych for you, artiste. :)

"Glenn Danzig is not amused."

I have to say, I have seen him live and that fucker OWNS the crowd. He struts around and jumps and fist-bumps and leaps into the audience without missing a word, and does not act like a 50+ year old man. Sure, he's doing it in a mesh shirt circa Mr. Florida Leather Bar 1992, but he's still doing it and it is a sight to behold.

[/credit where credit is due] Okay I'm done. We can resume laughing at him now. :D

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy too. I don't know if I would be into music if it wasn't for his stuff. He's such a goofball though; I get a huge kick out of mocking him.

In conclusion: Danzig is a tard, but he's our tard. Bless his heart. *sniff*

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Twilight - Monument to Time End (think that's the name - DL'd from soulseek while waiting on the vinyl to drop)
I'm stunned that these guys managed to put out another album. I'd think a bunch of black metal geniuses would find it hard to work in a group situation. One listen in and I'm all about this album. It will be getting much more spin time in the very near future.

Inepsy/Toxic Holocaust 12" split
This is each band doing to songs of the other band. Fucking awesome! I love how the Inepsy stuff picks of the trademark sound of recent TH (I know that sounds dumb because it's just Joel, but TH still has a rhythmic signature to me.) This is awesome and is out in two forms of vinyl packaging through Tank Crimes.

Hellbastard - Discography 86-87-88
'Nuff said

Danzig - Deth Red Sabaoth (or whatever is that "cool" spelling)
Hmm...If I could get past the pinch harmonics I could find even more reasons to dog on this uninspired, tepid waste of 0s and 1s. It's just dull and a lot of the songs are over long which doesn't enhance something that starts off dull. Ol' Glen seems very concerned about having to pull out his Ju Ju Bone....It's just silly, cheesy and lacking any qualities that would make it feel "legit." Did I mention the pinch harmonics that are evvvvverrrrywhere? Seriously, it took six years to pull this together? Six years? Thank the baby Jesus that soulseek exists so I didn't waste money on this crap. Maybe this would appeal to the die hards, but I can't imagine many others wanting to spin this more than a couple times for the sake of curiosity.

Not at all. There were just so many pinch harmonics on that album that I figured that reviews deserve equivalent overkill.
