Those who weren't one of the 10 or so people who saw them play on the floor at Swayzes last year missed out.

What's funny about the delivery is that I just commented to my husband last night that her vocal pattern are so odd that it makes me wonder if it's her first band and she's just making it up as she goes. I've noticed that in a lot of "first" bands some oddball things that are done because the folks making the music don't know any better. It's kinda cool that way, to me. Think of the MisFits, if you've ever figured out a few of their songs, the structures are really odd.

Each to their own, but I like the vocals and I'm pretty picky about female vox in metal. I do wish that they were mixed just a tad lower, though, because I don't like any vocals that high in the mix.
Haha yea if they were lower in the mix they probably wouldn't bother me so much. I've still been listening to it quite a bit as the music is great, I just wish she didn't try to do so much with her voice. Female vocals are fine and her voice isn't bad but she needs to cut out the singy vibrato shit. Less is more.

They sound fucking GREAT at 2:15 on the first track though... like give you goosebumps good.

I like her voice. At first she sounded like a hoarse Nancy Wilson to me, but now all I hear is Geddy Lee w/ a bitchin headcold.

The whole record's mix sucks. Louder please!

Other than the too loud vocals, I love the crappy mix! It's got a live mix vibe and almost sounds like an old skate rock tape with the thrashin', but rocking style. I wish more stuff sounded like this. I'd throw Blackholicus and Sonic Ritual in with the skate vibe, but still metallic sound.
