Merry Christmas ...err I mean Krampus!

I got Daniel the new Rwake CD among other things. Yesterday, we were about to leave to eat at The Vortex and he was saying that he wanted to go to Criminal to buy it...needless to say I had to spill the beans so he wouldn't wind up with 2 copies

He still has to wait till Christmas to open it though hehe

krampusnacht used to scare the frilly pants off of me as a little kleine...my mom had our neighbor visit as knecht ruprecht (a version of krampus) in blackface and stuffed me in his sack...and she wonders why i gravitate to the weird and dark things in the world

HAHAHA!! YES!! I love this so much. Hilde Friese is the owner of the Village Corner restaurant and bakery in Stone Mountain, and she grew up in some village I can't remember the name of. She told us about how her neighbor would dress up as Krampus and scare the shit out of them. Santa would ask them if they had been good and Krampus would stand behind him and rattle chains while Hilde and her siblings quivered and pissed their pants. To me, this is the Best Tradition Ever.

What did you do to get stuffed in the sack? Some mild infraction not worthy of dragging you directly into the pits of Hell? Or was he just feeling lazy?
