Greetings everyone... I'm new here, so lemmie introduce myself...

My name is Matt Wagner, and I'm the bassist for Orlando Metal band
5 BILLION DEAD, as well as bass / vocals for the Black / Death band EQUINOX, on top of being a tireless supporter / promoter of the Orlando Metal scene...

Enough about me..

Me and my singer for 5BD are thinking about heading up to Atlanta for the big Atlantis Conference, specifically on the night that our friends in INDORPHINE are playing at Masquerade ( I believe they're with Stuck Mojo )...

We're looking for a cheap place to stay, nothing too fancy, just affordable! The hotel that Atlantis is telling everyone to book at costs a butt load of money, so we're looking for some place close we can walk, or take a cab too without spending a bunch of $$$...

I'm also looking for suggestions on other cool places to hang out, eat, look at strippers, ect., ect...

Hook us up!

I don't know about hotels..but the hottest naked women in Atlanta are at the Clermont Lounge on Ponce De Leon. Don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise.

Oh wow , the exotic beauties that inhabit this lounge are some of the most stunning around! Make the Clermont at the top of your list of titty bars!

Where is that in relation to the Masquerade?
And where the heck is the Masqurade anyway? Is this thing downtown, in Buckhead or what? I'm only familiar with the area around the arena...

You can also wear as much heavy black clothing as you want at the Masquerade too because it has an excellent air conditioning and ventilation system.

As for a good hotel just look for the one with the least amount of dead bodies floating around in the swimming pool and you're home.

The Masquerade is on North Ave. Couple of miles off of I-75.

The Clermont is about a 5 minute drive from the masquerade (if that). Just take a right out of the masquerade and make the first left..should bring you behind a Kroger..go out of the Kroger parking lot and turn right onto Ponce Deleon...the Clermont will be on the right..go behind the "hotel".

If you reach Fellinis you've gone too far.

Bring a stick to fend off post-gig beggars. My favorite was the guy who asked me for .28 cents specifically so he could "get to the Marta station".

A funnier name would have been 6 Million Dead, a Holocaust denier band. With songs about the skewed facts of the number dead and how its all just one big manufactured lie, thrown up by the Allies. Hell you could say, the Concentration camps were just the vommit of the allies. But you just want a non-controversial band that strums chords to songs about war and death but not really talking about the history's greatest lie in history's great war.

But 5 Billion Dead sounds like a Carnivore instrumental anyways, so good Luck.

Greetings all, just wanted to pop in and say that I had a great time in Atlanta this past weekend meeting, and making lots of new friends at the Masquerade Saturday night! Me and my singer Strain from 5BD drove up from Orlando to hang out, and were very glad to see the Atlanta Metal scene alive and kicking. It's been a million years since I have seen STUCK MOJO, and they friggin' ripped as usual, although I must admit, I was pretty exhausted by the middle of their long ass set!

I want to give kudos out to the all the musicians, bands, and industry people that we met along the way.

Infernal Machine, Daath, Suckerhead, Volume Magazine, 4X records, the Masquerade staff hotties, and everyone else I'm surely forgetting!
