I stole this off of Dwayne from Demonaut's I_LOVE_ZUCKERPENIS. Some burly dude shows off all of the candles he bought at Yankee Candle Co. Fucking hilarious

A high school friend, who I haven't spoken to since since we graduated, still lives in Michigan, way up on the Northwest side of the state and deep in the boonies. He just posted an advertisement on his FB page for Metal Mayhem, held at some local bar, which is "bringing some of the BEST bands the midwest has to offer". I've not heard of the top two on the bill (which is completely unremarkable), but the opening bands are a Pantera tribute and a Sabbath tribute.

For those of you who bitch about the Atlanta scene, man the fuck up.

What about unmetal jobs?

Post by klw299 » Tue May 8th, 2012, 9:55 am

I am a software sales person who works in an office all day. Who else has an office job where you would consider your other co-workers un-metal?

For me, there is not "considering" about it.

But I stopped being metal a long time ago.

Holla re: office life.

Our director of content (about 5 bosses above me, really nice and approachable guy but could nonetheless crush my nuts if given a reason) asked me for months to send him WS stuff. I finally relented and sent him whatever songs contained the least profanity/overt weed references. He got back to me later, said he enjoyed it, and that we should license our music for "hyper-violent video game use."

This is maybe unmetal in metal places and concerns the aesthetics of the battle vest.

I just discovered a sweet embroidered patch I bought back in '89 for a certain band that I totally loved and that now sucks donkey dick. In fact, I think they started sucking the following year. The patch was in a random box that I guess i've been carting around for years.

Nostalgia versus "true"?

Eh. Fuck it.

You know the one. Their list of sins is mighty:
  • No low end on their fourth album
    Fifth album went radio-friendly
Picked a fight with the Internet
    Recorded with a symphony
Made self-indulgent documentaries that included the auction of abstract art
    Et cetera
But it is a sweet embroidered logo patch.
