I don't dig on a lot of black metal but this rules. hard.
Evil sounding shit. Murder/Suicide Incidents just released a comp of the first three demos. Give Bestia Arcana a shake too if you liked Wormlust. Can't get enough of this kind of stuff lately.

Oh man, the atmosphere on that Bestia Arcana track is just oppressive, very cool. I guess I need to look into more stuff like this. Any other recs along those lines?

By far my favorite release from this last year. The first couple of Axis of Perdition full lengths, '04 EP and that Dark Tribe record In Jeraspunta: Die Rückkehr der Tollwütigen Bestie come to mind immediately as in a similar vein. Demented primal sounds without being bedroom recording "raw" and "atmospheric" without being lame, whiney, and endlessly boring. Anyone, feel free to chime in with some recs too. Can't think of a whole lot else at the moment.

Sargeist - Disciple of the Heinous Path

Last night we watched Royal Rumble and it occurred to me that Shatraug looks a lot like Goldust. Ha. I LOVE THEM BOTH DEARLY so this is not meant to be an insult. But it probably is. Though to which one, I'm not sure.

Anyway, thanks. I'll see myself out.

Excellent. Not as good as Horror Vacui or Night Sins, but still solid stuff.

I've had "Wake Up Dead" running through my head for about a day now. I don't think I've actually heard it in over a year. Easily. It's funny how songs can stick with you.

Is Battlemaster still together? I haven't heard anything since they played here.
Just looked them up on Spotify. "This Mead is Making Me Warlike" has got to be the best song title I've heard in a while.

Killer band. I HIGHLY recommend getting the album that song is from "Warthirsting and Winterbound" as well as their split with Inter Arma. W&W is only on CD tho :(

Both can be found here on the cheapy cheap

HA! My buddy runs a Royal Rumble game where we draw numbered ping pong balls out of a jar. Whatever number you choose, you have to root for that dude no matter what, and then you earn points based on how many dudes your guy tosses over the top rope. The guy that had the Godfather's number was so pissed - he barely made it into the ring! Hilarious. Also: what weird milfy hoes.
