Been starting my days with Master's Hammer and Behexen, jamming Coffins and Belketre when I get home from work, and going to sleep to Lurker of Chalice.

Oh, also this..no joke:

Day 2:
I have to thoroughly review this garbage before class tonight. Why? Because they make these shitty covers for cardio classes but go ahead and leave in all the "fuck"s and "nigga"s so some of this terrible crap is virtually unusable. I don't know where this one was made, but Germany doesn't give a shit ever. I learned that the hard way. Only 16 more songs to go.... Sigh.

At least I have Cultes Des Ghoules "Henbane" in the car to recover.

I'm just gonna keep bitching because only y'all can understand how painful this is for me.

So here's a nice song for class:
Chris Brown wrote:Oh, I'm getting paper
Look at me now, oh look at me now
Yeah, fresher than a motherfucker

Lil nigga bigger than gorilla
'Cause I'm killing every nigga that try to be on my shit
Better cuff your chick if you with her, I can get her
And she accidentally slip and fall on my dick

Oops, I said on my dick
I ain't really mean to say on my dick
But since we talking about my dick
All of you haters say hi to it, I'm done

Man fuck these bitch ass niggas, how y'all doing?
I'm Lil Tunechi, I'm a nuisance
I go stupid, I go dumb like the Three Stooges
I don't eat sushi, I'm the shit, no I'm pollution, no substitution

Got a bitch that play in movies in my jacuzzi, pussy juicy
I never gave a fuck about a hater, got money on my radar
Dress like a skater, got a big house, came with a elevator
You niggas ain't eating, fuck it, tell a waiter
Maybe I'll send that over for the Seniors Class. Those ladies like it dirrrty. WHY DID THEY BOTHER MAKING A SHITTY COVER?

Eight songs left. Sigh.

I gave this a first spin last night at the gym. It was great for cardio. Overall, it's good, but not free of the typical cringe inducing ST moments, like repeating "Cy-cy-cy-cy-Cyco" a thousand times in one track. I do love the old pride "we don't mosh/we slam" line that shows up in at least two tracks. I only caught one passage that was kind of funky.

STill, it's better than so much crap they've released since that perfect first album. I can take the second and third records, but nothing compares to the first one.

The buddy that I made the Finnish BM comp for reciprocated with a thrash/death/power metal comp. He said he wouldn't be able to match my packaging artistry, so I told him, "All I know is that shit better have a dragon on it." He responded thusly:

YES. Check out that glitter action.

We have Flotsam & Jetsam, Corrosion, Helloween, Stormtroopers of Death, Sepultura, Bolt Thrower, Judas Priest, plus so much more! Two discs! I'm looking forward to Vehemence "Christ I Fucking Hate You" which I predict will be my new theme song. I might rig it up to my car horn.

I fucking love Vehemence. Also, amazing glitter. Also, I'm sitting here eatign lunch and laughing about that beautiful prose written by Chris Brown.

Lately I've been listening to the new Tegan and Sara, Saturnalia Temple, and Kadaver on repeat.

That Witch Cross album rules, too

Yeah, Vehemence is cool, but they really needed to have cut like every one of their God Was Created songs in half. Them and Vital Remains -- it's like they play a good song for 3 or 4 minutes, then just go back and do it all over again to end up with a 6-8 minute track. It mystifies me.

That comp artwork posted by Diana is freaking awesome and if it were on a mystery album cover at a store or distro I would more than likely snap it up immediately. Despite what that says about my impulse control it's meant as a compliment to the artist.

Sorcier des Glaces - The Puressence of Primitive Forests
Incantation - Mortal Throne of Nazarene
Funeraille - Dis Pater
Watain - Lawless Darkness (only just now getting this -- good stuff)
Septic Flesh - The Great Mass (this too, and in light of Sumerian Demons, my only other exposure to the band, it's disappointing, kind of disjointed)
Necronomicon - Silver Key (only have an mp3 of this but it's great and has been on repeat; memorable death metal neither "brutal" nor "melodic" but more "straightforward" and "inspired." I remember seeing their albums in stores but being repelled by the terrible cover art.)

Seriously, behold these deformities:

To be fair, though, those albums did come out during that late 90/early 00s window when digital art was getting democratized and more often than not resulting in embarrassment.
