college football time motherfuckers

Post by Greg » Mon September 5th, 2005, 10:37 pm

Alright, let's steer all the shit talking about other random stuff into something really worth getting fired up about - college football!

Surely I can't be the only person here excited about having something to look forward to post-Wrekage on saturdays. Right now I'm watching FSU absolutely destroy Miami's qb (I think they just got sack number 42 as I'm typing) but not doing much better themselves when they have the ball, and can't wait to watch Ohio State-Texas throw down next weekend.

Everything is right in the world again now that fall is here - the weather will be perfect for about 2 months, Tech just beat the shit out of someone they weren't even supposed to have a chance against and will inevitably lose next week agasint someone they should kill, Steve Spurrier is back tossing visors on the sidelines, people care about hating Notre Dame again, and much beer will be consumed by me and my friends both watching and arguing over all these games for weeks to come.

I am issuing a challenge to the Loud Fast Rules Greg that whoever wins the Tech-UGA game this year gets to ride up to the other guy's radio show and talk shit on the air about how much better either Tech or UGA football was this year - you up for this?

Accept a challenge I basically automatically win? Of course!!! Congrats on whooping Auburn though - I hate them a bit more than Tech because Auburn actually beats us sometimes. And expect plenty of thrown visors this Saturday in Athens. Go DAWGS!!!!!

You know you guys would have lost last year if our quarterback could have counted to four... :P

If UGA's athletic department is smart they'll hand every single person that walks through the gates this week a free visor, and hopefully they'll all be tossed on the Carolina sideline by halftime.

Actually he was counting down from 4 using derivative calculus - his calulations were approaching zero but did not completely get there...

I'd say that given the ranking difference (17 to 9) that the prize/punishment should somehow be weighed accordingly.

I would have to say I don't care for UGA or Tech but I would love to see Tech hand UGA its ass when they play each other this year. As far as the Miami game goes lets see you can't win them all when it comes to FSU but then again they have up until this point. I think Wright didn't do that bad of a job yeah he was sacked 9 times which is a new record for FSU. If only the offesive line was a bit better things would have been different. Now as far as the game cocks go I hope they kick the shit out of UGA but I think this will be a rebuilding year for Steve and his cocks. If you haven't guessed I am a huge Miami fan got to support my home team.

UGA is going undefeated this year. USC doesn't stand a chance and neither will anyone else. For the record, I hope Miami gets the shit kicked out of them, especially by NC State or Duke, just because they chose such a pussy football conference in hopes of dominating. I've never seen so many blown opportunities in the FSU game. Fuck both of them - I actually wanted Miami to win.

As far as weighing the Tech/Georgia contest, wait until it's the week of the game and we see the spread.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

Weird, I'm not that much of a football fan (I was a baseball kid since my dad played semi-pro ball), but as it happens, I was plopped down in front of a hotel-room TV at gunpoint* and forced to watch that game, by a goth-band's frontman** who, oddly enough, is a devout FSU fan. It was pretty damned surreal. Also amazing that no-one scored at all in the second half :!:

Yeah Miami sucks I guess you can figure that out by how may players have been drafted into the NFL. We shall see how the rest of the season goes.

Raise your hand if you thought that this week's battle of the Techs would be between the two best teams in the ACC at this point.

Too bad viral meningitis comes out of fucking nowhere and claims our QB - goodbye any chance of GT winning the game.

And on a side note I love listening to Larry Munson slobber his way through UGA games. I can't wait until he's completely senile and unintelligible like Harry Caray was his last few years with the Cubs.
