i've seen some conflicting stuff saying they'll only be enforcing it in the evening but i don't know how they'll even begin to attempt something like that

Oh yeah, that was me. I forgot about that! Weren't we also sneaking in badcarburetor and her husband at the same time? He got nailed right after that when we went to refill the beers. We should have quit while we were ahead.Strange wrote:Weren't you with us last year when we had to sneak my wife through the blockade? I thought you had helped me with the slight of hand (making the dude think we had 3 badges instead of 2). I had thought it was you, but then, I was very drunk and slightly distracted by the girl in the latex speed racer costume at the time so who knows...

That's correct from my memory. He's just too damn sweet and innocent, that man. He always gets busted on shit I can slip right through.
This year we are legal and I even swung getting paid to go as "professional development." I am a God.

You were all "whatever nerd, I belong here" and marched right past. That's the secret - you can't look sweet and guilty. Poor dude.badcarburetor wrote:He's just too damn sweet and innocent, that man. He always gets busted on shit I can slip right through.
You are totally some kind of god for pulling this off. I can't believe it.badcarburetor wrote:I even swung getting paid to go as "professional development." I am a God.

I am completely zombified. It's not like a hangover so much as a full on detox. I started drinking Thursday afternoon and stopped at about 2 this morning. Hell, I think I drank more at the booth than I did during my drunken wanderings.
Awesome hanging with you fine folks as always! Diana - Thanks mucho for the beers. Let me know when the trolling stuff is posted!
HAIL - HAIL - HAIL AND KILL!

Yep. I've been drinking tea and shivering since Tuesday morning. And discovering new bruises -- at last count I have seven. And no idea how I got any of them.Strange wrote:I am completely zombified.
Hey Stew - what's the parental rating on this Damage Assessment? Because this notebook is full of swears. At least the parts I can read.
HA! I didn't even know there was a Metalocalypse panel. Damn. Can you astral project from drunkenness?Brian wrote:This was my first year with an actual pass. Definitely picking one up for next year and gonna get a room, too. Still in pain.
I kept staring at some girl at the Metalocalypse panel thinking it was you, Diana. It wasn't.
If you want a hotel room next year, act quickly. Here's the Hilton info we sent over to my brother so he can get his own damn room next year and we won't have to step on his face in the dark:
We booked our room last night. Some hotels don't let you book this early, and some do. The Hilton does.Helpful Hilton Info wrote:Call the Hilton's 1-800 number:

You're looking to book at this Hilton:
255 Courtland Street NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30303
on these dates:
Fri 8/31/12 thru Mon 9/3/12
Total of 3 nights
When you call, they'll say no rooms are available, until you say you're with Dragon*Con and want their discounted group rate. The code is DCN, though I didn't have to use it.
Have a credit card ready, because you'll have to pay a deposit of one night. It came to about $270.
The total for the stay, including taxes, will be $835. You pay that $270 deposit now, and they run your card for the rest when you check out.
Don't delay too long, the hotel will fill up soon.
WOOT!!!
