The new Ihsahn -- this thing is amazing. I'd had no idea that there was going to be a sort of "duet" with Mikael Akerfeldt. Nor that the Spiral Architect bassist would be joining the fray. I don't see how anything else will top this for my album of the year.

Although I'll be more qualified to say that after Tuesday. \m/

Whaaaa? Damn, I'm definitely checking out the new Ihsahn then.

Combining forces of Emperor, Opeth and Spiral Architect? How the fuck can you lose with that?

I've yet to hear it. The near-mania of racing to the music store and running pell-mell down the aisles still prevents me from downloading leaked albums. Plus I must have packaging. New-CD-booklet smell is almost up there with that of new car.

Duuuuuude I am with you on that. I love buying CDs, and collecting them.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one that smells the booklet. Hahahah!

And yes I will stomp some motherfuckers that get in the way of me buying Watershed.

Amandatory played "Heir Apparent" on her show tonight, and hoo boy, any worries about heaviness I'd had, after hearing "Porcelain Heart" and "Lotus Eater", were quashed. That thing was monstrous.

Oh, and -- best-smelling CD booklets ever: Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk and Absu's Tara. (A friend of mine, into whose face I once shoved the latter, said it smelled like a baseball glove. Go figure.)
