FINALLY found WAR Vol. II - Anata vs. Bethzaida, which I had wanted to hear since someone mentioned it in this thread. In my opinion, Bethzaida's side is the betterer.

Also,
Sodom - The Last Sign of Evil
Deathspell Omega - Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice
Enslaved - Vetabrae

Pretty goddamn spectacular.

Just do a google search. Took me all of three seconds to find a decent copy.

Got this too. Not immediately as catchy as Hissing Fauna, but I need to give it some more time.

Hissing Fauna is one of my all-time favorite albums, and I love every of Montreal disc except for the first two. So of course I've been anticipating this ever since I heard about it, and the new song(s) they played at the Halloween show last year in Athens just made me want it even more. I was sort of expecting Hissing Fauna pt. 2, but this is a completely new direction for them. This was going to be the album that puts them in the mainstream -- they already have their music in commercials and they're no longer a band only enjoyed by hipsters. This was going to make them rock stars.

Now they have no chance, at least not for a little while. It's just too weird for the average person to like. It changes directions every 90 seconds, the songs don't have traditional song structures at all, and it's one of the most dynamic albums I've heard in years. Definitely a rewarding listen. I feel like with most of their albums, I can just pop them in my CD player and have a good time any time I feel like listening to them. This, on the other hand, is one of those discs where you just need to set aside time to absorb everything that's going on.

In summary, I love it and think it's brilliant.

Actually, that's the same opinion I had this year about the Subtle album.
