i just dont like the usage of the word "grindcore" i can understand napalm death and all maybe cephalic carnage in there but i just think Mortician and Carcass could have been place better some where else. and when i think "grindcore" i usually dont think any of those band any ways its usually some horrible hardcore grindcore project like "devil wears prada" or "the number 12 looks like you" or something. i just hate that genre but i really like Mortician and Carcass and think they could be better suited somewhere else

listen to The Berzerker...it's a mix between grindcore, industrial, and death metal but it's fuckin AWESOME!

about that map - hell, I couldn't make something like that and I think it's a pretty cool map...may not be the most accurate but it's accurate enough for me.

Still it's interesting to see a progression of how different styles came about, as long as you're not overly sweating its accuracy.
yeah I agree with you there! :)
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

@necro - you should also check out Repulsion and Hemdale...those are good grindcore bands, too. I generally don't like the genre either but there are some good grindcore bands out there.

After a lifetime of research I've come up with my own history of metal chart. I'm confident that it's both accurate and timeless.

actually necro.........he wasn't being a dick. you obviously don't have the first clue about what grindcore actually is by what you've said. and don't try to argue with me and go copy and paste some grindcore list from some website and tell me that you love and know all about the bands. thats just gay.

we know all we really need to know about your knowledge of grindcore. it doesn't exist. this statement sums it up nicely.
when i think "grindcore" i usually dont think any of those band any ways its usually some horrible hardcore grindcore project like "devil wears prada" or "the number 12 looks like you" or something. i just hate that genre but i really like Mortician and Carcass and think they could be better suited somewhere else
i'll give you mortician, i'd call them death metal anyday but saying that Carcass isn't grindcore and that "devil wears prada" and "the number 12 looks like you" are shows us that you've been into metal for about three months now.

i don't mind the fact that you don't know everything but you don't have to act like it and make yourself look like an ass in the process.

grindcore is in fact a melting pot of thrash, punk, crust and death metal. with lyrical themes that are usually either political or gore. gutteral vocals, high shrieks, pitchsifters, blastbeats, punk beats, thrash beats, short songs, super distorted guitars....etc. check out these bands to find out what grindcore is all about and then you can come make posts about grindcore and not look like a total assclown.

Repulsion
Carcass
Hemdale
Napalm Death
Anal Cunt
Phobia
Nasum
Impetigo
Terrorizer
Agathocles
Last Days of Humanity
etc.........etc.....

enjoy!
