In case if any of you are wondering, yes I can do a pushup. I do 100 of them every other day in addition to other stuff cause I know I'll be doing alot of them and just want to be prepared! (I lost 25 lbs too so that's always a plus)
surly not 100 in a row?
anyway good luck with the Air Force, sounds cool.
hahaha holy fuck no! I do them in sets of 20 and take breaks inbetween. It'll take me 20-30 mins depending on how lazy I am and I do other excercises inbetween so you gotta factor that in to the time as well. I can do 40 in a row if I wanted to though. And thanks btw :)

my medical exam is on the 1st so here's to hoping I have no weird health problems ;)
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

This morning at kickboxing she had us doing push ups in sets of eight singles, and then eight for two counts, and then eight singles, and then eight for three counts, etc. I was face down after about three sets and it's taking all my strength to type this because my triceps are fucking jello.

In conclusion: I am fairly certain that you could kick my ass, so remind me never to piss you off. America is going to be in good hands.

hahaha I love it! Shit, when I started doing pushups (like early this summer) I started out doing them in sets of 5 and I only could do 3 sets. You'll get there quicker than you think if you keep on it! 8)

She sprang that on us. She doesn't usually make us do push ups, usually she fills that time with extra squats because she is the devil.

passed my physical!

the assistant store manager at my job was in the Air Force several years ago and he said they'll poke me and prod me and holy fuck he was NOT joking! I had to duck walk in my underwear! I also had to piss in a cup in front of someone (so they could make sure I wasn't up to anything funny I suppose)

let's see...they took my blood, did hearing and vision tests, blood pressure reading, and made me do squats and twirl my arms in circles and shit like that. The whole process took like 4 hours cause there were others there who were also taking their physicals. I got out at 10:30am (gives you an idea of how early I got there!) but apparently, it usually takes alot longer (like all day) but my recruiter purposefully scheduled me on a Monday so I wouldn't be there all day cause Mondays have less volume in terms of people testing.

yeah, I'm just glad I passed...I was scared because scoliosis runs in my family. I don't have severe back pain but I do have some back pain...I guess it's not scoliosis though thankfully.

and since I don't smoke pot and I don't do drugs, I already knew I was gonna pass the drug test which obviously I did.

speaking of the drugs, I was asked about alcohol because I checked a box that said something like "I have drank 6 or more drinks on one occasion" and I'm thinking to myself, hasn't everyone? It's not like I do that every day damn! I know some people who do drink that much every day but not me hahaha

and she asked me if I ever heard of alcohol poisoning. idk but I think she thought I was an alcoholic or something even though that box says on ONE occasion, not 2 or 3 etc.

anyways, next step is the board interview with the higher ranks!

   GURL, NEVER CHECK THAT BOX. Once I took some personality test at a coffee shop in an attempt to gain employment, and it was all "would you rat out another employee if they stole a spork" and I was all "no" and that shit came back with "SERIAL KILLER" stamped across the front.

Glad you passed your physical, and good luck on the board interview!!

hahaha! serial killer, that's awesome ...and I would totally steal a spork LOL

yeah that box...it was either that one or the other ones...which were worse. I don't know if I could have left them blank...I guess they assume we're all a bunch of alcoholics

there were other questions about how many times you drink a month and stuff and for me it's like 1-2 times, if that, so I think she realized, hey every now and then, I like to get drunk! hahaha

here's an update:

board meets April 19th. I find out after that (I think June 4th) if I get selected or not. *fingers crossed!*

For now, I start flying lessons in the morning. Hopefully I'll have my private pilot's license before the year's end! :P

ps - because of this, I may not be going to many shows for the time being...it's EXPENSIVE! MDF and Cannibal Corpse may be the last ones I go to for awhile...and Death Angel cause it's free lol

well, it's June 4th...the official release date for the Air Force to announce their selects. Out of 656 applicants, about 130 got selected and I wasn't one of those. I'm going to improve my weak areas, apply to grad school, and try again in about 10 months (I think that's when the next board I can apply to is). A big thanks for all of your support and hopefully I'll be in as an officer one day!

Sorry to hear. Persistence is usually the key to these things.
