I agree with MetalFreak. These two bands have a lot in common. They came from the same scene and both play "big" black metal. It's a fair comparison, as far as beer conversation goes.

I love both bands but Emperor is better and here is proof...

I haven't watched the full DVD, but the video's that I have seen of that concert (like that one) are amazing.

Emperor
amazing sound
Fire works
spinning hair
shit load of metal fans

That would been one hell of a show to see.

The Inferno footage is so much better. (The sound isn't much improved, but there's actual camera work.)

Not that those lower-fi vids don't have their strong points. (There's one of Devin Townsend doing "Seventh Wave" that blows me away every time.)

the videos are great!

but they drive home the fact that Emperor is the better band. I love Immortal but Emperor was much more dynamic both vocally and musically.
