That was quite funny to see Martha McCallum on Fox News say with a straight face, "Dimebag Darell."
Greg, if they blame metal so what? Its because Pantera was the metal byproduct of MTV that this got any coverage at all. If this had been Dimmu Borgir or Death Angel, you think they would have spent half a mind on what happened besides what a terrible act of violence it was? No. What will happen metal is primarily underground in America, if they say its because of metal that he blew away Dimebag then who fuckin cares? If they want to blame anyone blame that he was in the military and was trained to kill without constitution, that he was a loner with probably mental illness. Who had nothing going on in his life that gave him an alternative to kill. What those people don't understand is it isn't metal that makes people kill its themselves that kill. But the reason they always blame the music or the video games or the movies is because they always want to blame the art form because most of these fuckers couldn't artistically create themselves out of a fuckin paper bag, so they take everything verbatim. But they hardly ever blame the guy for the porn he was watching, for some reason that hits a more primitive nerve that even those conservatives can't bash without feeling like they are bashing themselves.
Oh and Bob, ABC would cover a story about a dog shooting a kitten to death, because they are notoriously anti-gun. So these kinds of acts of violence gets their motor running. I say if a guy committed suicide in Anchorage, AK because he was alone and depressed it wouldn't get a headline. But people do it all the time, when Martha McCallum was talking to Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx today and asked them if they were going to step up security, they had no answer but to dodge it. But I won't dodge it, a guy shooting and killing anyone at a concert is like a plane crashing. Yeah it can happen, and yeah you are going to die, but will those 2 points of departure transpire at your given time? Thus its an isolated incident, not a trend like the news media was claiming it could become. If it gets bad enough, those fuckin cheap ass clubs need to get off their ass and get a metal detector. They put more fuckin money into lighting than security. I guess so when you are lying bleeding to death your buddy can see the blood more clearly saturating your shirt. But it is an isolated incident, Dan said how easy it is to bring a gun to the Masq, but it is equally easy to go to a braves game and get slaughtered in a driveby, but for now these things aren't happening. So I say until our world becomes a cesspool of violent assholes that pick any chance and time to kill randomly then just enjoy because you ain't going to find a candy colored paradise in the end its just a dreamless sleep.
