I think instead of some sort of protest that they should invest in some advertisements like the ones during the holiday season in NYC and other places. One of them said, "You know it's a myth. This year celebrate reason."
There are plenty of atheist organizations to get involved with, like atheists.org and the Atlanta Freethought Society atlantafreethought.org.
There are better ways to spend your time than protesting random churches.
