I don't know why you'd listen to a band like Sacramentum when you can listen to Katharsis

if you are "sickened, by like, sort of reveling in like, negativity" you should get the fuck out of extreme music in general. what a bunch of dabbling vaginas.

I dig their music (especially the drumming) but they need to STFU. Bunch of Underoath-looking retards.

What the hell is "extreme music?" Most of the stuff people call "extreme music" I can't take more than a few minutes of.

For the record: Black Metal isn't Black Metal anymore because its name/brand has been reappropriated by media/bloggers to explain messy things they can't explain neatly. Which is why Liturgy and Agalloch "are Black Metal."

First and Second waves are now soap opera fodder. Fenriz is the noid or max headroom or the talking dog from Taco Bell. Varg is just a guy living on a farm making mediocre music. Dead is dead. Katharsis, previously mentioned, is about all that "Black Metal" has going for it, and even Katharsis becomes a parody of Blaze era D'throne when left to its own device.

Wow what a bunch of fucking hipster fags. I wish they would just die! What are these idiots talking about. O black metal is so romantic. The song plays itself because were so intune with eachother were so hipster. Its so spirutual and stufff
They should have just stuck with sucking each other off. The singer obviously just got done blowing the rest of the band right before this interview.

i agree with the sentiment. but i dont think that most people are taking their bm cues from scion, and recognize that agalloch aren't a black metal band. anyone who spends enough time online understands the Krallice effect. im not trying to get into the semantics of black metal or extreme music or whatever, because im not a nerd, but most folks are able to make the distinction on their own.

Katharsis is good, but they both create totally different moods with their riffs.
