Holly's weird with her comedy choices. She hates Dumb and Dumber; go figure.LeveLscream wrote:Harold and Kumar is NOT a fuckin' teen movie. I hate teen movies, I wouldn't suggest one.
If you are not a fan of dumb comedy why are you watching MST3k or Kevin Smith? Just give the movie a chance and don't automatically assume it's a teen movie.
I can totally understand not liking Lynch, I just suggested that for the shock value.
here is a couple more suggestions -
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind - Fucking INCREDIBLE!!!!
Being John Malchovich - Genius
Fargo - Classic
8mm - NOT 8 MILE - ha!
Stealing Harvard - If you like Kevin Smith's style you'll like this one.
Constantine - The ONLY good Kenu Reeves movie besides Bill & Ted.
The Gods Must Be Crazy
Gag Factor 6 - just kidding!
8mm started out promising then got retarded in my opinion.
I've heard Harold and Kumar is hilarious from someone who has seen it multiple times; granted this is from someone who has seen it only while high.
Constantine- really? i mean it looked pretty retarded.
If Meet the Feebles is anything like Bad Taste or Dead Alive i'm there. Old Peter Jackson is the shit. LOTR is kickass too.andyb wrote:im warning you meet the feebles is twisted... and im sure you know about it already but if there is a small chance i have to say. rent GUMMO !!!
very fucked up.
Gummo. Yeah this movie is pretty retarded. Weird for the sake of being weird.

I thaught Constantine was pretty good, for a Kenu Reeves movie. It had a good plot, some decent twists but there was one part that was really stupid and should not have made the final cut of the movie. I tend to like movies based on religion since I am facinated with the book of Revelation, the movies not for everyone but it is worth seeing to judge for yourself.
I have a wierd comedy taste too.

Weird, that's kinda the jist I got from its trailers and whatnot.
I'll have to see what some other people think about it...
Re: MST3K & Kevin Smith
They are completely different types of comedy in my opinion.
Kevin Smith is obscenely smart, and while he does have a fair amount of sex jokes, etc., his dialogue is fucking genius and absolutely makes each one of his movies.
Also:
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind - didn't like it

Being John Malchovich - awesome, saw it
Fargo - DUH! Although I do know a few freaks who haven't seen this...LOL
8mm - I've heard of this, will check it out (I actually saw 8 Mile in the theater because I worked at one at the time and it was free - it really wasn't that bad)
Stealing Harvard - Jason Lee and Tom Green...interesting...
Constantine - saw it, didn't like it
The Gods Must Be Crazy - I've heard of this as well...it looks cute...

Yes, that's why its made over a billion dollars, because only D&D kids saw it.LeveLscream wrote:LOTR - was HIGHLY overrated, it was slow in my opinion, stricktly for the roll-playing MAGIC and D&D kids.
Seriously that's like saying Star Wars is only for Sci-Fi nerds. And if you say you hate Star Wars you're either full of shit or a weirdo. Because everyone loves lightsabers. I bet you if Frodo had a sweet ass Samuel L. Jackson purple lightsaber you would have liked LOTR.
