Yeah CTTS, I'm def already familiar with the awesomeness that is Punch. I'll have to search out that full length.Brian wrote:CTTS? They only have one full-length. It's fucking great. One of my alltime favorite albums. Also put out a split with pg.99 a few years back. An EP too. They're FINALLY working on a new record after like 7 years.Ryan wrote:never checked them out, particular album worth hearing?GameFreac wrote:Yeah I like Punch way better but sometimes the girl clean vocals make it more balanced sounding instead of having 2 screamers, like in Circle Takes The Square (even though the chick screams too).Ryan wrote:she wasn't bad but i was always kinda bummed that her voice wasn't harsher (like the chick from punch). always felt they would benefit from harsher vocals.GameFreac wrote:I actually thought it was just alright and miss the chick singer.

Those pre-order options blow. I don't want a $50 toy or a picture disc or anything involving CDs. I just want an LP.
I'm so over this pre-order fad with limited edition this, that and the other.
Labels, just sell fucking albums.

I collect CD's still, along with vinyl. I'll pre-order a copy of a disc for $11.99 almost any day. It ships 5 days before the actual release.badcarburetor wrote:Those pre-order options blow. I don't want a $50 toy or a picture disc or anything involving CDs. I just want an LP.

At least there was an option to just buy the disc. No such option for the vinyl.
I get why they need to do it to drum up sales in this "just 'steal' the mp3 age," but vinyl is selling like mad and I don't like being jerked around with all this "limited edition" bullshit. And I"m not buying some crazy die-hard collector's bullshit like Metal Blade is pimping right now.
Oh well, such are luxury problems...

It's screamo so it's not exactly the same as a band like Hatred Surge but here ya go:Ryan wrote:Yeah CTTS, I'm def already familiar with the awesomeness that is Punch. I could have sworn I saw a link for just a vinyl. Bummer!!! Over complication sucks.badcarburetor wrote:At least there was an option to just buy the disc. No such option for the vinyl.

Thanks to Criminal, finally got around to buying Deathspell Omega's newest one. Quite good. And the new Negura Bunget as well, the title of which I'm not even gonna try to remember. Apparently they're quite the hailed band, but either my pagan black metal days are behind me or it's just not doing anything for me yet. I will attempt to enhance my listening experiences with some alcohol.
Oh, and I also picked up that lonely copy of Wolves & Jackals' The Haunted. Incongruous vocals or not, I dig it.
