Have you read them all? Does he puss out on the ending? I really enjoyed the first three, and I need you to assure me the ending doesn't suck before I invest in the rest of the series. Thanks.

I got past the fourth book but I read them back when they came out so going back through and re-reading them so when the 8th book comes out in April I will be caught up

8th book? Ha. As long as he keeps writing, we're okay. But he needs to get Peter Straub in to help him write the last book because if it turns out to be a spider in the sewer, I swear to god I will find him and kill him.

those books are my guilty pleasure...ok laurell k hamilton is my guilty pleasure and i just read those...and those books don't have spiders in the sewer as much as they have spider-worshipers in the dungeons

Meat is for Pussies by Jon Joseph.
I loved his autobiography so much (in a bit of a Beast by Paul Di'Anno way), that I thought I'd give this a whirl. I love how he drops all kinds of "scientific proof" without citing any sources other than "a recent study said..."

Anyway, it's basically a nutrition, fitness and health how-to book. Says that it's not that people who eat meat are pussies, but that eating meat is so bad for humans that it turns them into pussies.

I just finished “WHARGOULâ€Â￾ by Dave Brockie. It’s about this demon-alien thing called a Whargoul that feeds off of war and eats souls for strength. He can only be killed temporarily, and when he regenerates he changes into new forms. The Whargoul tells the story and jumps back and forth between all the wars he’s been involved in, so the timeline is jumpy and it’s sometimes hard to keep track of where he is. But it’s pretty much just senseless destruction the whole time, so no complaints.

Though I thought it would be more ass-clowny than it is, there is plenty of humor. And plenty of scat:

Next is “In Extremis: the Most Extreme Short Stories of John Shirley.â€Â￾ I’m not sure if I’ve read this guy before or not, but he looks promising.

I'm juggling " Wizard and Glass" , " The girl who played with fire" and "the collected works of H.p. Lovecraft." Finished the anthology of Robert E Howard's Conan books and a friend wants me to start of that H.H. Holmes book
