I love that label.

I gave these a long listening session over the weekend and all are fantastic. I especially dig the Night Fever, but mine has a skip on the third song on the second side. Sucks. Anyone else get one like this? Just wondering if it's a manufacturing defect or I just got a bum copy.

Just bought Paragon Belial - Hordes of the Darklands. It's decent, but I mostly wanted it because of its limited pressing. Any time I can jump on a rare or limited pressing, I usually do. I had to have it for my collection.

They picked a good track to swipe their name from.

This brings up an interesting point. I'm a record nerd to the core and can be a sucker for all the pre-order, limited edition, heavyweight, colored, blah, blah, blah...but in the last year I've gotten pretty burned on this trend of trying to make stuff so limited that if you don't pre-order that you'll be shit outta luck. I know the labels are doing what they have to do to stay afloat, but I do wish that shit would stay in print instead being snapped up before the release date.

I don't really try to pre-order anything for that very reason. There is a lot of shit out there that I would have loved to pre-ordered, but I didn't because of what you said. I usually find more satisfaction by finding a limited pressing that has already been out, especially if it's in a store. The CD that I mentioned came out in 1996, so obviously it's used. But I found it at a CD Warehouse store here. After seeing it, I went home and looked it up (I didn't buy it at first because I didn't know what the hell it was, or if it was worth the huge price they were asking). After I found out it's 1) old school black metal, and 2) limited to 1000 copies, I had to have it. So I went back and traded a bunch of old DVDs for it.

As a CD collector, it was my quest to get it. lol.
