Well since I was comparing Hobo With A Shotgun to Robert Rodriguez movies...

Machete - 9/10

Lots of ridiculous violence. Like... violence and gore so outlandish that it's comical at times. Like the part where he hacks the guys abdomen open with a blade, pulls out his small intestine, runs through a window, and repels down a few floors using the intestine as a rope. That's shit I only thought I'd ever seen in an Itchy & Scratchy cartoon on the Simpsons.

lone wolf and cub isn't really a "fucked up" movie at all. Its pretty much straight up martial arts stuff... so bad ass though

This is sorta a fucked up movie if you're not big on gore or alien movies. I finally watched The Thing. I'll never forget the scene when the guy's stomach rips open and chops the other guy's hands off.

It is appropriately bleak.

It reminded me a bit of Severed Ways: The Norse Discovery of America. Both are bleak as fuck and (IMO) very engaging. It's funny how some people love, Severed Ways, others hate it and some just can't get past "that one scene."
I'm glad I just now read this. Some black guy, which is weird to me, recommended this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Black Death. I would like to watch another movie just like it. As for Severed Ways. I found the movie to be extremely dull. Please say that you're referring to that one scene where the guy is shitting in the woods.

Also if you're looking for another good medieval war movie I recommend 1612. It's about the Polish-Russian wars during the end of the "Dark Times" of Russia.

I've seen trailers on TV about a remake they're doing of The Thing. UGH! When are they going to FUCKING STOP THAT SHIT! Jesus buttfucking the pope, there are MILLIONS of screenwriters out there dying for a chance to have a movie made from one of their original stories. I'm sick and fucking tired of every movie being remade. Obviously its only because these studios are looking for a way to make an easy profit. What better way to do that than taking a movie that everyone already loves and REDOING it. Of course people who loved the original are going to flock to see the remake like herds of cattle into the meat grinder. It's pathetic. It's just as bad as making a shitty sequel to a half-way decent movie... for example The Hangover part II. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT. If you saw the first one, you've already seen the sequel. It's the same fucking movie, just set in Thailand, and it isn't even funny. I don't recall laughing ONCE.

The Thing was a pretty good movie. From the looks of the trailer, it's basically going to be the same fucking movie just with new actors. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Oh sweet! I'm flying solo tonight so maybe I'll finally handle my business.

Who am I kidding, I'll probably just watch Hellraiser.

yeah it's not fucked up but one of the classics as far " grind house" era movies, this trend of making homages to that era is more often than not hitting the mark
like these remakes of i spit on your grave or last house on the left where the rape scenes are subdued to me miss the boat , i hope the straw dogs re-make hits the money shot on the rape

this sounds better the more i hear about it ... human centipede 2 official release in two weeks
from a fear net review
Not content to wallow in the "ass-to-mouth" fixation that he's now stretched across two films, director Tom Six has now taken to presenting hammer dentistry, sandpaper masturbation, barbed-wire rape, random knee surgeries, and a whole lot of crowbar head-cracking. Were any of this garish misery presented in support of an idea, a theme, or some sort of actual statement, a person (namely me) would have a lot less trouble with all the sweaty hatred and dank misery -

when you have barbwire rape...do you need any other theme ?
