I wonder how they'll make up the costs if this is free...$15 Bud Lites? $10 bottles of water?

why would you highly doubt sabbath would play ozzfest, they do every other year you jewish hole
Watch your mouth, you ignorant prokaryote.
haha use some common sense, i was able to assume you didnt have any judging by the emperor avator though
wow. besides your complete lack of common sense i take it having a Supultura avatar would make you so much more credible seeing as everyone with a koRn or disturbed CD knows them. or hey maybe being on the forum three years and still not knowing how to upload your own avatar is the metal thing to do.... maybe one day we can all peak to your stature.
no sepultura bashing on the boards! sepultura helped solidify death, black and thrash and are one of the most badass bands ever to grace the planet........no matter how many korn or disturbed kids know who they are.

you don't have to like them(but any self respecting metalhead should) but don't lump them in with korn or disturbed. even on sepultura's worst day they weren't that low.
i will give you that they did help somewhat. but if thats the case then The Ramones helped as well seeing as all of it came from punk rock any ways. but you dont see every metalhead jumping to there protection. i dont judge a band on what they did for metal i judge them on what they do for me. and "Sepultura" does nothing more then annoy the shit out of me. allthough i do admit i like Cannibal Corpses cover of Roots Bloody Roots but not the original version. and im not bashing the band mearly stating that EVERY "real die hard metalhead" does not have to like them.

Cannibal Corpse never covered "Roots bloody Roots". The mp3 you downloaded was mislabled, bro.

Black Sabbath was around before the Ramones.

The Ramones need no protection from any arguments. Motorhead wrote a song about them. Nuff said.

black sabbath does in fact have 4 or maybe 5 years on the ramones. that doesn't mean they have been around longer the "punk rock" in general. the ramones i picked because they were a good example of an early band(of which i still do not care for) and i looked into the Cannibal Corpse thing and it turns out your actually right about that and i commend you on it. question, do you have any clue who this MP3 is then? because now im just curious(also it cant make it any better if the cover by an unknown band was still better)

WTF!?

if there is a free metal show in atlanta...and SEPULTURA is playing...I AM FUCKING GOING....

i can even admit that (now) sepultura kinda bore me since i have heard their albums many thousands of times...but sepultura have done a lot for metal and their tunes would be even more badass live with the original line-up.

and it sounds completely retarted for someone to have liked a "cannibal corpse cover of roots" over the real thing... i mean, i doubt cannibal corpse could add much more to what was already an okay song (roots was undoubtedly a departure from the classic sound sepultura help create).

btw, (amoebicdysentery)...supposedly they will not raise the price of any food(s) or drink(s) in order to compensate for free tickets.

if this concert is free and sepultura(w/ max) ARE playing, anyone who would miss this concert b/c it is a "shit" festival are just immature and too "metal" for me...

That didn't stop 'em from losing money before?

I think it will play out something like this: The Sponsors, like the lesser known bands on the tour, will have to cough up a reasonable amount of coin to be involved. Some sponsors (Hot Topic, FYE) will be contributing a large amount of money in exchange for being given the tickets to distribute. Kids will have to go to their stores to get the tickets causing lots of overpriced junk to fly off the shelves. etc.

I'm sure the family Oz will also take a cut of food and drink...and probably merch sales as well.

That's just my theory, but I'm sure we'll see. I'm just wondering how well it will work.
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!

I heard that tickets will be not assigned...like if you leave your seat to use the bathroom, someone can take your seat and you can't do anything about it (maybe fight the person but that's besides the point)....

I don't know if that's true or not but if it is, it's a horrible idea. There'll be fights everywhere (more than normal).
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

i'm not trying to argue but please explain how sepultura "annoys the shit out you"? lets talk pre - roots please..... i truly want to know how anyone could claim to love "old school death and thrash" and hate sepultura's music ranging from 86 - 93. i'm not saying its impossible, i just want you to help me understand whats so "annoying" about it.

and any self respecting metalhead would not be ashamed of metals punk rock roots bloody roots(pardon the pun).

well maybe if i had a better knowledge of the band i could give you the explanation you desire. but in my case everything I've heard by them has given me no reason to search into them. if I'm going to listen to early death metal Dark Tranquillity and very early In Flames and also a touch of at the gates are what makes me smile. but as far as "how" they annoy me its just the VOCALIST FUCKING SUCKS so god damn bad in every single thing I've ever heard by them (and its not like I've only heard one song i have heard ALOT from them) and there style in general just doesn't do anything for me. i could listen to ICP and get the same felling. therefore it annoys me. i did not say we had to agree just my point of view fell free to criticize it as necessary it isn't going to change a thing.

I would love for you to compare Refuse/Resist to an ICP song. Please do so.

ONCE AGAIN i have heard enough by them to KNOW i dislike the band. and secondly Sepultura was formed in 94 only a few years latter was Dark Tranquillity in 89 then followed by at the gates and in flames both in 1990. they may have a few years on them but i wouldn't say they have done more for metal then dark tranquillity has. ALSO despite your opinion on what they did for metal i REILLUSTRATE i don't give a fuck its what they do for me IF I think a band is horrible someone else that likes them doesn't make them better to me. i apologize if i do not share the same taste in metal or the same beliefs
