Master Ninja is supposedly pretty ridiculous.

Assassin's creed is cool. It's not the same kind of action as ninja gaiden but it's still satisfying to watch the awesome killing animations. And running over the rooftops is fun, especially since he can climb almost anything. Fighting is all about timing, i.e. timing counters, dodges, combos, etc. It's sorta easy in the middle because combos are almost unstoppable, but it gets hard again at the end.

My roommate has Assassin's Creed and he says it's kind of complicated, but he is kind of dumb so I can't really take his word for it. Sometimes games that aren't complicated are the most fun like Prince of Persia, but I trust your opinion so I probably won't end up playing it.
