I've never call out yet...I'm saving those for when it's a real emergency or something important. I've noticed people that call out a lot get fired slowly.Metalfreak wrote:sucks! call out sick or somethin.GameFreac wrote:I was planning on going but I have to work now.
Plus I have the next 3 days off after that because my cousins are coming up here from Florida so I don't wanna push it.
I'll buy the DVD if it comes out.

I'm hoping they start a little late....or maybe run a half-hour of previews. I'll be coming in from this place in Tennessee...and you wouldn't want to leave that quickly either!Metalfreak wrote:damn, this is this Thursday. The call out multiple times but the manager says "it's ok" and acts like everything's cool. Then the next time they call out, they get fired.ratanda wrote:How does one get fired slowly?GameFreac wrote: I've never call out yet...I'm saving those for when it's a real emergency or something important. I've seen it happen to 2 people.
So I don't wanna call out unless I have to.

First off, I was surprised by how many people actually did show up. I would estimate an audience of maybe 130 people (maybe more).
I thought the film itself was great. It was a fresh perspective on an old story. I thought it was great how they kind of allowed Fenriz and Varg particulary to just kind of ramble about the burgeoning of what would later be thought of as "the scene." Hellhammer, Abbath, Demonaz, Frost, and a disguised Bard Faust all gave their thoughts on the early days and eachother's actions.
There were so many aspects of the then and now of black metal and its relationship to the outside (particularly the visual arts community) that could only be addressed in an abbreviated form that I don't even really know where to begin in describing this thing. I might actually try to write a real review later.
Keep you fingers crossed for a DVD release and maybe you guys that weren't able to make it out last night will get a chance to see for yourself. I really dug it.
