Dude -- stop being a cheap-ass and get the new CD. It includes the demo and the 2010 EP. The first 100 or 150 or something sold also got a free patch.

I'm really pissed that I am going to miss this. The CD has been in pretty heavy rotation.

Killer band/record. If you dig that you should check out the new Blood Freak.

Never heard this one. I've stuck with Pink Moon exclusively. Thoughts?

It's much more produced than Pink Moon. Some doubled vocals, occasional orchestral backing, even a few horns. I prefer it to Pink Moon's sparse guy with a guitar vibe. Same lyrical curiosity and unique vocal timbre and meter that you'd expect from Nick Drake though.

You should! Their first 2 albums (Sleaze Merchants and Live Fast, Die Young, and Leave a Flesh Eating Corpse) both lean more in the grind direction, I like the latter a shit load. Their last 2 albums incorporate more outside influence and are a bit more similar to Frightmare (It's the same main guy in both bands). Multiplex Massacre leans a lot more towards thrashy death metal and is a pretty big (though still awesome) jump from LFDYaLaFEC and the new album (Mindscraper) is basically the next Frightmare album but with more goregrind influence. It's the first one that Maniac Neil didn't play all the instruments on.

I don't know how, but I've never heard that DRI record. How is it? Does it continue the Thrash Zone/Crossover style or is it more of a throwback or what?

The first Black Anvil was way superior, IMHO.

I love big band. There's a killer show on (I think) Sunday mornings on 88. Perfect for making pancakes.

Bryter Layter - His best in my opinion.

Cool. I'm definitely checking out that one and the first that I've also never heard. May need to spin some Dream Academy, too. Life in a Northern Town"

Full Speed Ahead is a lot like Definition, Thrash Zone and Four of a Kind. It was released in 95 and, according to Metal Archives, is their last full-length. It's the first time I've listened to them for a while. I'm getting pumped for the coming show.

Haven't heard the first Black Anvil, but it's gotta be better than the newest one. I saw them open for Watain and they put on such a killer show I had to pick up an album. Guess I picked the wrong one.
