/me NP: Akira Yamaoka - (Silent Hill 2: Original Soundtrack) - "The Day of Night" [00:30/01:38]
Ha! I get two mornings a week to myself for three hours to listen to my music. I'm not going to win any of those jism-squirting contests.

yeah I usually listen to my shit in the car (not because I can't listen to it at home, I'm just never there!) and not to mention, my little stereo in my living room sucks. I need a new one.

Anyways, I think what I listened to last was Amon Amarth, Rotting Christ, and Rompeprop.

it's not really an immediate "grabber" album so be sure to listen to it again. cool thing about that band is that the main songwriter went on to form Xploding Plastix

/me NP: Pierre Boulez - (Ripons; Dialogue de L'ombre Double) - "Section 4" [00:11/05:37]

Weekend Nachos - Useless
Totally fucking awesome, and dynamic crust. In the vein of Spazz, HHIG & sludge as well.

Starz - Coliseum Rock
Ha. Cool. Thats an old Texas radio staple. Saw those dudes a couple years ago. It had probably been at least 25 years since the last time I saw them play.
I had no idea they were still around. That's rad!
Saw em' open for Saxon in San Antonio. Fun night.
I am mad envious of that bill. Mad envious.

Satyricon - tons of shit, Age of Nero and others.
Mercyful Fate - Melissa and Don't Break the Oath
Alice Cooper - various old shit

I really enjoy "My Skin is Cold" and "Den Siste." The brass section on there is subtle, but it woks.

My rednecky friend was over and she was pretty freaked out by it. I forget that not everyone had heard this kind of music before.

HORNA: Hiidentorni / Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua / Perimä Vihassa Ja Verikostossa / Ordo Regnum Sathanas
A really good release. Some weird ambient tracks included. My Horna fascination continues...

Heh -- I do that too. I was considering using a Burzum song as a cool down for my spin class and then I realized I might be called on to explain it. "Well see he burns down churches and... oh right, y'all probably don't like that idea." Never mind.

I seriously consider Satyricon to be mainstream-y and non-offensive. I think I live in a very small bubble.

There is definitely some Burzum you could get away with that no one would notice as unusual. As long as they can't see a title or anything to use to look it up later if it turns out they dug it. I'm such a nerd that I SHAZAM everything that I like. I can't stand to hear something I dig and not know who is doing it.
