Emperor -- In the Nightside Eclipse
Emperor -- Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk

I thought I'd give Emperor another try, since it has been a long time. The keyboards still completely kill it for me. I love a Hammond cranking out of some Leslies as much as the next guy, but I just don't think that keyboards fit in most metal.

You have voiced my opinion of Emperor pretty much word for word.

Ahab - The Giant
Joe Walsh - Analog Man

And Knuck, give that last Emperor record a shake again if you haven't already. I think Promethus is quite a bit different from their Korg heavy earlier records. Still keys present, but way more of a supporting role I think. That one and occasionally Anthems are really the only ones I enjoy.

1070 Scum - Chaos Noise

There are not adequate words to describe how much this rules. If you like noisy as shit punk/hardcore then you would be a fool not to check this thing out. In fact, if you like extreme music at all you would be a fool not to check this out, punk or otherwise. I bumped the thread in the Bands section where there's a link to a sampler.

edit* you can hear one of the tracks here along with the tracks from the tape that preceded it.
