If you knew why I do that from time to time, it's because it's my way of showing agreement with a statement as opposed to saying "Yeah" or "I agree". ...
And as far as what I've been listening too:
Mercyful Fate - 9
Memento Mori - Rhymes of Lunacy (Mike from Mercyful Fate on guitar)
Doomsword - Let Battle Commence
Solstice - New Dark Age
Manowar - The Lord of Steel

I was honestly hoping it would be decent. Last album was kinda meh, but I LOVED the Gathering. Musically the new one is okay, but the vocal arrangements and lyrics are pretty fucking lame. ...at least, that's the case for the first half of the album which is all I've managed to get through so far.BlackRoija wrote:did you expect any different?Knucklehead wrote:That new Testament album. Anyway, besides that:
Gojira - l'enfant sauvage
Meshuggah - Koloss
Huntress - Spell Eater
Sacred Reich - The American Way
Metal Church - The Dark
Anthrax - State of Euphoria
Onslaught - Sounds of Violence

I thought Formation of Damnation was awesome! So I was pretty disappointed with the new one. The vocals on the Powerslave cover are weird too. Feels like Chuck's holding back.Strange wrote:I was honestly hoping it would be decent. Last album was kinda meh, but I LOVED the Gathering. Exmortus - In Hatred's Flame
Motorhead - Rock & Roll
Vektor - Outer Isolation
Heathen - Victims of Deception
Thrash Week I guess

I totally agree about Formation. That album brought it in style. The only new song that I've heard so far is True American Hate. It seems like new Exodus with their tough guy singer instead of Testament. I'm not a fan of when Chuck Billy leans towards death metal style vocals like he did on Demonic and this reminds me a little of that. Hopefully it will grow on me. I want to like it.ratanda wrote:I thought Formation of Damnation was awesome! So I was pretty disappointed with the new one. The vocals on the Powerslave cover are weird too. I guess Formation was okay, aside from the cringe-inducing 9/11 track.badcarburetor wrote:I totally agree about Formation. That album brought it in style. I'd also like to like this one, but the first half had my finger itching to hit the track skip button more than once.
