Bingo. That was Varg's (original) stance, i.e., Christianity has desecrated heathen sites. The arson was an act of "reclamation." Etc.
I wouldn't say Darkthrone isn't completely void of "spirituality." Fenriz, for all his stunts and shit, is well connected to nature and Isengard may as well be the national band of Norge... For all the pose shit going on (still!) in that scene, Fenriz is about as genuine as they get.

Apparently, this was at his own request. It's obvious that everyone knows what he looks like, but it was his wish that his face not be shown while directly addressing the murder in this film so as not to appear boastful.Brian wrote:Why did Faust have the voice changer and have himself blacked out?
Also the final count for the audience was 127.

I thought this movie was great compared to other black metal documentaries that are in existence. There was actual humor present, if only because Fenriz has a quick tongue. And as Tommy said, I like how they showed how the scene has influenced other forms of art (even if what those people produce is shit). Also, Frost from Satyricon was some A+ lolz.

HA! What's the matter, you don't like people that are forcibly and annoyingly avant-garde, and affect extreme other-ness and light shit on fire and cut themselves to get attention?Azrael wrote:I need to get this. I was at the showing and I thought the movie was great. It made me like Fenriz more and Frost less.

I love him, and even I want to slap him and tell him to come down out of his own ass.

Yeah, the Frost stuff was a big disappointment. It was like he was a trick boy grinding his organ box. Creepy.
The Blu-Ray version does contain everything that is on the 2 DVD set. The artwork has not been started, much less finalized. I think it will happen fairly quickly, but do keep in mind that at this time this is only a pre-order option.

Haha! I like his drumming but personally he seemed like a douchebag. Nemesis Divina rules, and Beyond the Apaocalypse.Diana wrote:HA! Frost sounds like a room of fucking typewriters (w/ "tribal" tatts) clicking away the same sentence for days on end.
Fenriz sounds like a human being who's had a six pack and is trying to play Tommy Lee's parts to "Livewire" on his shitty four-piece kit for his bros.
One is more endearing than the other. Can you guess who it is?
