Occultnik movie night!

I heard rumors of his work getting reissued, now that I think about it. That would be nice since there are a handful of his movies I've never seen.

I just finished watching The Fourth Kind. Parts of it were pretty damn creepy. The disclaimers at the end, though, greatly diluted the effect, belaboring the obvious.

I'd wager most of you already know about this, but the Plaza Theater's Splatter Cinema will be showing Human Centipede on July 30. Also saw that Trash Humpers will be playing July 23-29. Gotta' plug Godzilla On Monster Island on the 31st too.

felt like this would be a good addition:

http://www.pajiba.com/trailers/serbian-film-trailer.php

i dont even know what to think with that trailer. BUT, like the sick bastard that i am, i am trying to DL this.

also, i have watched a few of the suggestions throughout this thread:

the cremaster cycle- i have only watched three of these (barely) and holy shit....im bored to death but this is all some very weird stuff going on. is there a story line to this nonsense at all?!

inland empire- what the fuck is going on in this movie?! i have no clue at all.

cannibal ferox- im still working on this. i DL'd it but it was spanish dubbed voices with no subtitles. i skimmed through it though and it looked really good.

also, a movie i have seen recently without suggestions from here is "ravenous". pretty good movie IMO.

Without Cannibal Ferox AKA Make Them Die Slowly, there'd be no Impetigo.

Ravenous. Is that the flick with the vagina w/ teef?

Page 4 in Rue Morgue is an ad for a movie called "SUCK." There's a photo of a vampire slut who may or may not be the lead singer in a band. It has Dave Foley, Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins, Moby, Alice Cooper and Malcolm McDowell.

There's one quote on the front of the DVD from Rolling Stone: "SUCK has the potential to become a cult classic."

1. Rolling Stone can go fuck itself; and
2. "Cult classic" is what you trot out when it's a movie's only hope of gaining an audience.

This thing looks like a real steaming turd, but I'm not sure I care. Anybody seen it?

Sounds terrible, but Dave Foley and Malcolm McDowell together has mad potential. Too bad vampires are so totally ghey.
