I read a consumer advocate piece today about how grocery stores are eliminating (or have completely eliminated) price tags in favor of shelf tags. The consumer advocates fear that the people have no recourse against being overcharged because they can't comparison shop and by the time they get to the register they have forgotten the price of everything.

So they interviewed this one old lady that spends her days going to various grocery stores and making note of all the prices, then shouts and carries on and makes a huge scene when she's "overcharged." She does this to "keep the stores honest."

Well most of the time where I used to work the prices WERE wrong...but I worked the register so that wasn't my fault but everyone yelled at me.

Wild at Heart was an OK movie, with Laura Dern and Nicolas Cage. It's a David Lynch film though so maybe that's why.
