and if they start doing this, who will boycott the remakes?

It won't be long. I can't believe they remade "The Fog" that was just stupid. I haven't seen "House of Wax" yet and I don't know if I will. They already remade "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" So I do not see a remake of Elm Street or Friday too far away.

This is going to piss me off when this happens, because those are the movies that I grew up with (and I mean this literally, I started watching horror films when I was like three and have always loved the Nightmare on Elm Street and Hellraiser series).

However, I will probably see them all out of morbid curiosity.

I literally just finished watching House of Wax, and it was actually a lot better than I expected.

I do, however, have the Vincent Price House of Wax all up in my Netflix queue.

So, do you suggest House of wax then?
I will rent it if you do.

Yeah, def.
Get over the fact that Paris Hilton is in it and just enjoy it.
It's not terribly original, but it's got some sweet parts.

cool then.

I would say if they remake any old movie I would like to see "The THING"
It's one of my favorites.
Hollywood would fuck it up now though. They would put the Rock in it or Vin Deisel as Kurt Russells part I am sure.

I kinda like The Rock.
Hahahaha.

But you're probably right.
All of the Hollywood classic type horror remakes all end up having really popular, highly paid actors in them that totally gay up the originals.
War of the Worlds, anyone?

I thought WAR OF THE WORLDS killed. Speilburg (I know its not spelled right.) ALWAYS does a good job. Hitchhikers guide was good also.

Did anyone like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

OK, I have to admit that I have no desire to see it simply because I hate Tom Cruise.

I loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, though.

I love the original, but I don't gauge how much I like them by comparing them.

Also, I answered you in that thread.

Um, no.
You asked again in some other thread and I said I'd reply to your email.
